HAT Projects are archi­tects, plan­ners and enablers for built envi­ron­ment projects. We have a rep­u­ta­tion for fresh and imag­i­na­tive think­ing, a col­lab­o­ra­tive work­ing approach, and a rig­or­ous atten­tion to detail.

Our focus is on projects that make a dif­fer­ence – that respond to real needs, allow organ­i­sa­tions to thrive sus­tain­ably, and cre­ate bet­ter and more beau­ti­ful pub­lic envi­ron­ments for all who expe­ri­ence them. We are prac­ti­cal as well as ambi­tious, and seek to max­i­mize the val­ue that good design and plan­ning can bring, both finan­cial and social.

Our design out­put is enriched by our work as pol­i­cy-mak­ers, com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment spe­cial­ists, co-design­ers, and self-builders; and vice ver­sa. We work local­ly and nation­al­ly, from large to small projects.

Time well spent is often accom­pa­nied by great food. Here at Wiven­hoe House, our food is tasty, hearty and thought­ful­ly-sourced. We are pas­sion­ate about cel­e­brat­ing our region­al pro­duce which is why our team of expert chefs con­cen­trate on craft­ing a menu that is full of flavour and guar­an­teed to tick­le those taste buds.

Inspired by French brasserie dish­es but still includ­ing the clas­sic favourite dish­es we all enjoy.

Time for a tip­ple or two? From Mer­lots to Malbec’s, Rio­ja to Ries­ling and Sauvi­gnon to Shi­raz, at Wiven­hoe house our wine list has some­thing for every occa­sion. And of course, there’s always bub­bles for those spe­cial cel­e­bra­tions, local­ly sourced ales and fruity cocktails.

Our Ital­ian and Eng­lish leather col­lec­tion of hand­bags are hand­picked to suit our selec­tive colour range for all sea­sons.

The hand­made col­lec­tion of gem­stone jew­ellery is exclu­sive to IGLB, hand­made by Karen’s @ Inspiregems.london. It offers afford­able bespoke jew­ellery made with love in Essex. It offers you the oppor­tu­ni­ty to own a unique piece of jew­ellery which is beau­ti­ful and inspir­ing. Hand­made jew­ellery also makes the per­fect gift for some­one spe­cial to you.

Karen also designs and makes oil infused lava jew­ellery, infused with essen­tial oils to give you a sense of well­be­ing. Karen is always avail­able to dis­cuss your per­son­al require­ments, ensur­ing that you are the cen­tre of your bespoke choic­es. The cen­tre of Colch­ester’s town cen­tre is home to the siz­able, beau­ti­ful, and well-kept Vic­to­ri­an park known as Cas­tle Park.
