EAP Prop­er­ty Ser­vices Group have been estab­lished for over 30 years. We have estab­lished our­selves as a lead­ing con­sul­tan­cy of Struc­tur­al and Civ­il Engi­neers, Archi­tec­tur­al Design­ers, Sur­vey­ors and Geot­ech­ni­cal Engineers.

We have offices in both Cam­bridge and Colch­ester and we are made up of a ded­i­cat­ed team of peo­ple who have years of expe­ri­ence in the prop­er­ty sector.

Spe­cial­is­ing in good sec­ond-hand and rare lit­er­a­ture, art, his­to­ry, phi­los­o­phy, sci­ence and local inter­est titles, the Colch­ester Book­shop occu­pies three floors of one of the town cen­tre’s most recog­nis­able build­ings: the arch­way lead­ing to Tymperleys.

Drop in for a browse, be amazed by our quirky rooms and stair­cas­es, and won­der at the sur­viv­ing medieval hall roof of the Colch­ester home of William Gilberd (1544−1603), physi­cian to Eliz­a­beth I and one of the world’s great­est ear­ly scientists.

Enjoy a Pan-Pacif­ic inspired menu in the heart of Colch­ester town cen­tre. Designed around the geo­graph­ic and culi­nary fusions of the west­ern shores of North and South Amer­i­ca, the Poly­ne­sian islands and the shared kin­ship with east­ern Asia and Aus­tralia. This well-equipped ​“lit­tle gem of a the­atre” in Colch­ester Town Cen­tre has been wel­com­ing vis­it­ing ama­teur and pro­fes­sion­al groups onto our stage since 2002, and a vari­ety of users into our stu­dio rehearsal space. We have packed sea­son­al pro­grammes offer­ing gen­uine choice. From clas­sic and mod­ern dra­ma to musi­cal the­atre, stand-up com­e­dy nights to school hires, clas­si­cal music to magi­cians — we do our best to make the expe­ri­ence of all of our hir­ers and patrons enjoy­able. We also host a youth dra­ma skills group who per­form twice a year in the the­atre, and an over 55’s group, Act V.

The Headgate is a Grade 2 list­ed build­ing (for­mer­ly a Con­gre­ga­tion­al chapel), with a max­i­mum audi­to­ri­um capac­i­ty of 87 peo­ple, and a stu­dio capac­i­ty of 40. We are devel­op­ing an addi­tion­al rehearsal and meet­ing space in the adjoin­ing build­ing, which used to be the church hall and Sun­day School.
