Cuck­oo dough is a new, excit­ing edi­tion to Colchester’s food and drinks scene.

Locat­ed in the cen­tre of the old town, on the buzzing short Wyre street, we will be serv­ing deli­cious brunch, wood-fired piz­zas and a selec­tion of thirst-quench­ing cock­tails. Our inte­ri­or design is inspired by the great out­doors and offers a quirky, yet relax­ing space to social­ize and unwind. We also have our very own roof ter­race; where on a sun­ny day you can relax and enjoy a piz­za and a drink or two with­in a nature inspired setting.

Enjoy 300 years of his­to­ry in this beau­ti­ful Geor­gian town­house through hands-on exhibits and dis­plays. Dis­cov­er what fam­i­ly life was life for the rich and the poor. Then be trans­port­ed back to the days before wash­ing machines to try out a dol­ly peg and dress up as a servant. 

Explore Hol­lytrees in minia­ture through the dolls’ house or dis­cov­er Bernard Mason’s fas­ci­nat­ing col­lec­tion of Colch­ester clocks. You can even learn all about the ori­gins of Twin­kle, Twin­kle, Lit­tle Star, loved the world over and writ­ten in Colchester.
