MOTO’s Piz­za din­ing expe­ri­ence is built on qual­i­ty pro­duce and reduc­ing waste. Menus lead to exces­sive choic­es, and ulti­mate­ly food that becomes fit only for the bin. By remov­ing a menu, we elim­i­nate food waste and con­tin­u­ous­ly sur­prise din­ers, giv­ing you an oppor­tu­ni­ty to indulge in a one of a kind shared din­ing experience. 

We offer the clas­sics along­side unique flavour com­bi­na­tions. You will dis­cov­er the ingre­di­ents you love but nev­er con­sid­ered as a piz­za top­ping. Our dough is made in house with over 48 hours fer­men­ta­tion to get it to that per­fect slice! 

Wine on tap guar­an­tees a bet­ter qual­i­ty glass of wine with every pour. Wine in kegs stays fresh­er with no oxi­da­tion or cork­age. It also means zero wastage and a 96% reduc­tion in car­bon foot­print com­pared to wine poured from bottles.

For all you cof­fee afi­ciona­dos, our cof­fee is sup­plied by local roast­ers, Mac and Me. We also use their cof­fee to make a mean espres­so martini.

In 2016 we start­ed off on our ​“Great Jour­ney” with our now clas­sic core beer: Great Jour­ney Begins. This was our Pale Ale and it was received very well local­ly. It has remained one of our most steady and reg­u­lar­ly pro­duced beers. It’s an easy drinker and a great ses­sion Pale Ale.

From the con­fi­dence we gained devel­op­ing our first beer we start­ed to exper­i­ment with new styles, vari­eties and tech­niques and before we knew it we had a nice selec­tion to offer our patrons. 

This is when we realised we need­ed a lit­tle bit more space to spread out and con­tin­ue to grow our pas­sion for great tast­ing beer.

We were luck­i­ly able to set up shop in the old Jacks hard­ware store in the heart of Colch­ester city and now we’re flying.

We are sit­u­at­ed in the Low­er Bowls Green in Low­er Cas­tle Park. The clos­est entrance/​gate is the Leisure World side of the Park.

Fresh­ly baked sweet and savoury waf­fles, smoked salmon and organ­ic farm fresh scram­bled eggs, fresh­ly baked scones dai­ly, banana & tof­fee por­ridge, eggs bene­dict and so much more all help to make up a fab­u­lous menu that changes with the seasons.

Addi­tion­al­ly, we have great cof­fees, a vast range of qual­i­ty teas from all around the world, local­ly pro­duced fruit juices, plus good wine from fur­ther afield.
