Join the team at Groundwork East for a guided walk around Castle Park, exploring the natural features of the area around Colchester Castle and discovering how local people have used and enjoyed the park over the decades. Through shared memories and stories, you’ll gain a fresh perspective on one of Colchester’s most treasured green spaces.
The walk will take place from 11am to 12pm on Wednesday 19 August 2026. It is free to attend, but advance booking is required. Participants should meet at the War Memorial on Colchester High Street and arrive by 10.50am.
This event takes place outdoors and involves walking around Castle Park. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
