Step inside Colchester Castle after closing time this Halloween and discover the darker side of its history on our atmospheric Dark Castle Tour. Tours take place from 5.30pm to 6.15pm and from 6.45pm to 7.30pm on 16 October.
Inspired by our popular Wicked Spirits exhibition, this after-hours experience explores the Castle’s shadowy corners, uncovering eerie facts, chilling tales and centuries-old myths hidden within its walls. From gloomy passageways to fascinating stories from the past, this unique guided tour offers a different perspective on one of Colchester’s most iconic historic buildings.
Perfect for Halloween and for anyone interested in the Castle’s darker history, this memorable evening experience is suitable for visitors aged 15 and over.
Please be aware that the tour includes slightly uneven flooring, low archways and uneven stairs. Unfortunately, there is no lift access to the tour route.
