*I’m so scared. And yet…I’m also looking…just in case I see her…even though by now there wouldn’t be that much to see…*

Two sisters. One dream. The hardest open-water swim in the world.

This triumphant play from Olivier award-winning **Morgan Lloyd Malcolm** moves forward(s) and backward(s) in time across the 21 miles between Dover and Calais as a young swimmer harnesses her mind and body to make the crossing.

With grief and joy, 90’s pop-songs and lists, oil tankers and jelly babies, love persists whatever the distance, and however perilous the journey to the other side.

Presented by **HighTide** and **New Wolsey Theatre**.

**Writer – Morgan Lloyd Malcolm**

Morgan was commissioned by The Globe to write **Emilia** which became a sell-out in summer 2018 and transferred to the West End at the Vaudeville Theatre in 2019. It won three Olivier awards in 2021 including Best Comedy or Entertainment. It has been optioned as a film by Ardimages and she is in development on this currently.

Previous theatre includes **Belongings** and **The Wasp**.

Currently she has two plays in production;** Mum** for Francesca Moody Productions, Plymouth Drum and Soho Theatre and **Typical Girls** for Clean Break and Sheffield Crucible. Current theatre commissions with Headlong, Lyric Hammersmith, and The Rose Theatre.

For Television she is working with Merman, Gaumont and Moonage. She is also adapting her play **The Wasp** into a screenplay for Paradise City Films and her play **Mum** for Popcorn productions.

She is represented by The Haworth Agency and WME.
