An entertaining and enlightening one-man play about China and 'The West', based on the siege of the foreign quarter in Peking during the 1900 'Boxer' Uprising (as seen in '55 Days at Peking').

It's a lecture in 1912 and Sir Claude MacDonald, British commander during the Siege, promises to 'take you back to Peking in 1900'. He does just that, to the Imperial Palace, where you witness the Chinese side of the story. The battle rages outside, Sir Claude is absent, who can guide you to safety and conclude the story? What does it mean for Britain and China today?

Sounds of battle and gunshot, mild vulgarity and descriptions of brutality. Age 14+
