Each year, New Contemporaries showcases the best emerging talent from across the UK. For 2021, 75 graduates of art schools and alternative learning programmes have been selected celebrating the resilience of the creative process in a challenging year.

Since 1949, New Contemporaries has held a vital role in the UK’s contemporary art scene and helped to launch the careers of a cross-section of some of the most internationally renowned artists of recent history including David Hockney, Damien Hirst, Gillian Wearing, Tacita Dean, Chris Offili, Ed Atkins and Laure Prouvost.

The exhibition offers an opportunity to see the next generation of contemporary artists who encapsulate the cultural zeitgeist so be the first to see the rising stars of tomorrow at Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2021 and mark your calendars for the opening on 25 September until 28 November 2021 at Firstsite in Colchester.
